The Credit Loss Analyst is responsible for supporting the reserving of the Global consumer credit loss reserve for Ford Motor Credit Company. The position works with a cross-functional team (GDI&A, IT, Risk, IC, Accounting) consolidating and validating data, reporting metrics, supporting internal control and audit requests.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Candidate should be part/fully qualified as an accountant 
  • Analytically strong with well-established interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in US and International Accounting Standards is added advantage.
  • Experience of the General Ledger systems (PeopleSoft, SAP/4HANA)
  • Experience in Statutory Financial statements application Workiva is preferrable 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and team-working attitude
  • To understand what the fair treatment of customers’ means and to ensure this is consistently incorporated into the role as appropriate.
  • Ensure standard journals are posted as per timelines and maintain control listing.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings related to process. 
  • Ensure cable/ receivable statements are prepared as per close timelines and get confirmation from affiliates in a timely manner.
  • Ensure to work on intercompany imbalances and differences are sorted within book close
  • Co-ordinate with external teams
  • Review and resolution of assigned locations aged and reconciling items
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of various quarterly and year-end schedules
  • Participate in PwC process walkthroughs, SOX/ORP testing, support GAO audits
  • Ensure all procedures are reviewed at least annually
  • Support MCRP testing, including spreadsheet control tasks
